Based on the 1891 German play of the same name by Frank Wedekind,
the musical Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of adolescent sexuality.
Alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.

Due to themes, this show is recommended for mature audiences.
