Directed by William Mutimer
Musical Direction by Lucille Kincaid
In the court of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II, Antonio Salieri is the established composer. Enter the greatest musical genius of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Salieri has given himself to God so that he might realize his sole ambition, to be a great composer. Mozart is a foul-mouthed, graceless oaf who has that which is beyond
Salieri’s envious grasp: Genius.
This musical play garnered a Tony award for Best Play in 1981, and its film version earned eight Academy awards in 1985, including Best Picture and Best Adaptation for Shaffer.
NCC's Amadeus will feature local actor Barry Glassman as Salieri, with all the music
being performed live by a classical quartet and Opera singer.
Due to mature themes, recommended for middle school students and older.
* Dinner & A Show
NCC's student-run restaurant, Hampton Winds, will once again provide
a fine dining experience before two of the performances.
On Thursday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 18, enjoy "Dinner & A Show"
before the 7:30 p.m. curtain. The students have created an Austrian-themed, three-course meal available for $30.
